Long Overdue

Greetings and Salivations.  It’s been a while since I’ve made a blog entry.  GengGeng has pretty much been running a one person show while I sit around with my finger in my nose.  Geez, what a loser.  Anyhow, I have a lot to do so this will be a rambling stream of consciousness style entry…

A lot has been going on.  The SharePoint project at work is REALLY behind schedule and now I find out they actually want to go live three weeks early!  Right, like that’s going to happen.  I moved to a new office on Friday.  It’s much nicer than my old office.  Maybe I’ll post a picture when everything is in place.  Geng and I got a new sofa.  It was delivered on Saturday.  They were an hour late and the sofa is damaged.  They will bring a new one on Tuesday.  What a pain.  Our apartment is starting to really look nice.  I’m sure Geng will post pictures at some point.  Now maybe we can invite people over (like our parents – sorry parents).  We’ve also decided to get a prep station for the kitchen.  We really enjoy preparing food together but our kitchen needs more space.  Geng uses the KitchenAid all the time and she has to drag it out every time she uses it.  Finally, this is what we had for dinner last night.  I strongly believe in the cooking philosophy of taking something and making it your own.  This is a super quick, super yummy low-fat pizza made with a Boboli pizza crust and sauce, low-fat turkey Italian sausage, low-fat mozzarella cheese, baby bella mushrooms, and fresh basil.  Prep time is about 10 minutes and I baked the pizza for 13 minutes, a little longer than instructed to make the crust really crispy.  It’s fast, easy, and healthy.  Buon appetito!

Pizza

[Update from Geng] This is what it looked like while being prepared.

[Still an update from Geng] After our couch was delivered on Saturday, we decided to go to Container Store to buy some hanging supplies. On our way to the store we stopped to have dinner at an Indian place called Delhi Dabba. Below is what we had for dinner.

Vegetable samosas for appetizer.

Chicken Tandoori

Green Chicken Tikka

I think the guys behind the counter thought we were food critics after seeing us take pictures. So they started giving us free stuff. We were able to sample their tomato soup and they gave us some kind of sauce for the chicken tandoori. They admitted it was a little dry. Then they asked me to take their picture. It was funny.
